The following are short bios on our senior leadership team, which has more than 150 years of combined experience in charitable, estate, tax, and legal planning:
Chris Holdorf – Chief Executive Officer
Chris has a diverse background of ministry and corporate experience, including senior executive roles at Arthur Andersen & Co., Contel Corporation, GTE, and Southern Electric International. Most recently, he served as senior pastor at the 1,500-member Oak Hill Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia, and prior to that as executive pastor at First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Georgia, where he was instrumental in leading the church’s growth from 90 people at its inception in 1996 to over 4,200 members. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Georgia, a Masters of Arts in Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Emmanuel Theological Seminary in Kota, India. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University. Chris is a frequent speaker to business groups and consultant concerning strategy and organizational vision, and he currently serves on the Boards of Directors for numerous charitable and civic organizations. He and his wife Lynn have been married for thirty-six years, and they have two grown children (Christopher and Emily) and one grandson (Colton).
Bob Collins, CFA – Chief Strategy Officer, EVP International Solutions
Bob brings a diverse set of gifts, expertise, and experience to NCF, having enjoyed a successful 30+ year career in finance, including as Managing Director and Co-CIO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London, where he led a 54-person team responsible for investing $36 billion in European and global portfolios. Prior to his current role, Bob was President of the NCF office in Tampa Bay for 14 years. Under his leadership, Tampa Bay’s total giving rose to over $350 million. Bob and his wife, Tricia, have five adult children and one grandchild. He takes great joy from inspiring and encouraging business owners and families to greater generosity (and impact investing).
Dave Johnson – Chief Financial and Investment Officer
Dave has served in a senior financial executive role for over 23 years and oversees the finance, accounting, and regulatory compliance functions of National Christian Foundation. He became a CPA while working in the audit practice at Deloitte & Touche's San Diego office. He then served as the CFO of The INJOY Group, a conglomerate of companies that specialize in leadership development, church growth, and capital-fundraising consulting for private and non-profit organizations. Dave came to NCF after serving as a consultant to small businesses in the areas of finance, accounting, and administrative management. He received his B.S. in accounting from San Diego State University, his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and is a licensed CPA in California and Georgia.
Randy Thrasher – Chief Relationship Officer
Randy is responsible for developing new opportunities to connect, convene, and collaborate with givers and ministries through our partner, ministry and advisor channels. He also leads our marketing and communications team in developing innovative giving solutions, events and experiences. Previously, Randy was owner, Chairman & CEO of Leader Enterprises, a national full-service marketing firm. He also spent ten years as a consulting Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Global Marketing & Media Communications practice. Randy has founded and partnered in successful start-ups, served on Boards, held interim executive positions, and consulted to non-profit and ministry organizations throughout the world. He also served six years as a War Games Strategy Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserves. He graduated from the School of Commerce and Business at The University of Alabama. Randy and his wife Pam have been married 46 years, live in Atlanta, and are blessed with three children, Todd, Chad, Kimberly, and six grandchildren.
Tim Townsend, J.D. – General Counsel
Tim has practiced corporate and tax law since 1991. He practiced for several years as a principal of the law firm he co-founded. In addition to business clients, Tim served numerous denominations, colleges, national ministries, churches, and family foundations. He has frequently addressed complex exempt-organization legal issues and has spoken on such issues for various professional organizations. Tim received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University in South Carolina and his law degree from the University of Michigan. He serves as an elder on the session of his church and as advisor to his church’s summer youth camp.
